Operation Theatre Technology (OTT)

An OTT assists in maintaining the operation theatre (OT) by setting up the OT prior to the surgery as per the surgical needs, transport the patient pre-op and post-op, assisting the surgical team (surgeons, nurses and anesthesiologist) during surgery.
This program trains individuals with all the work and management involved in running an OT. It prepares students for the demanding needs that one must fulfill while working in the OT. Students will be taught the care and maintenance of all the surgical instruments along with sterilization and disinfection. Additionally, students are trained to care for patient’s pre and post op, along with running the CCU and ICU. In order to have completed the degree, students go through classroom lectures, practical classes aided by hands-on training and Hospital internship.
